Green Car : Hydrogen Fuel Morgan Life Car

Another green car for Geneva Motor Show, here’s an amazing hydrogen powered car : the Morgan Life Car, stunning design and at the same time environmental friendly. I think 2008 will be filled with new design of green car technology, this Life Car is powered by an energy storage system composed of advanced fuel cells that will take you for 250 miles on a single tank of hydrogen. It is set to have a top speed of 100mph and will do 0 to 60mph in around 7 seconds. Looking forward to see “the real car” at the Geneva Motor Show 2008.

Lighting GT : First UK’s Electric Sportscar for 2008

Finally, lighting car company has released the first UK’s electric sportscar, the Ligtning GT. The focus point of this sportscar is not the top speed, but rather its electric power that will deliver 700+ HP from its wheel-mounted electric motors charged by just your home electric plugs. There is no price tag yet, hopefully we can see this car in a realistic version instead of just rendering. With virtually no polluting emissions, this energy-efficient car uses clean technology and will have the ultimate green rating.

 

Webasto LigHT Concept Car : The Roof of The Future

This convertible car designed by Italian IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) and inspired by the Fiat 124 Sport Spider from the 1970s. Webasto LigHT concept features lightweight soft top concept which made from new material mix and weight of just 13 kg. Under the motto ?The roof of the future?, the potential designers had the opportunity to unleash their fantasy and develop studies beyond the classic convertible body styles. Webasto will display LigHT concept car at Geneva Motor Show 2008.

Pinifarina Sintesi Concept is Revealed

Finally, Pinifarina Sintesi is fully revealed and gong to on display at Geneva Motor Show 2008. Sintesi concept car is a four door vehicle with an advanced fuel cell power source. The Sintesi (means ’synthesis’ in Italian) which describe the attributes of the concept. The beauty, sportiness and functionality combine into one. Pinifarina designed Sintesi to predict the future of car design, stylist, comfort, practicality, and power.

.The idea behind this Daihatsu car concept design was

 the monospace nature of this concept can gives the

 interior a spacious feeling, which is further enhanced 

by

 the large (plexi) glass windows and the small luggage 

area. In the big cities, space is luxury, so for leisure 

vehicles like this, space is important.

Because the intended use of the vehicle, luggage 

space 

has been used to house good audio equipment. The 

lack

 of a rear window makes it possible to put it even more 

optional equipment. The deep dashboard offers 

enough space for optional entertainment system. 

Small cameras

 are integrated in the wide graphic lines, increasing

 visibility and compromising for the lack of a rear 

window.

Crossover Vehicle, Cadillac Provoq Hydrogen Fuel Cell Concept

What a luxurious crossover vehicle from Cadillac Provoq hydrogen fuel cell concept. With lithium-ion battery, cadillac provoq can achieve 300 mile range, 100 mph top-speed. Built on E-Flex system, cadillac provoq hydrogen fuel cell concept means using the same platform that brought us the electric Volt at the Detroit Show, Flextreme in Frakfurt.

Go Green with Loremo LS : A Sporty Low Emissions Vehicle

The car industry realized that they need to pay more attention to the serious demand of green vehicles. And in 2008, I’m pretty sure that we’ll see plenty of new concepts and vehicles that will change the way we move around.
Loremo LS is based on the concept that by reducing weight, one can increase the fuel efficiency of the vehicle. Safety is not a problem, the company is confident that the steel cell construction method provides the vehicle with a solid rigidity and enough of a deformation area for it to be safe to drive around the city. The design of the Loremo impresses. It has a very unique body shape, giving it clear individuality. Furthermore, rather than having two side doors for the drivers to enter the vehicle, there is a front wing door which swings upwards and to the front, allowing access to the vehicle.

Futuristic Volkswagen Viseo Concept Car by Marc Kirsch

The Volkswagen Viseo is a futuristic concept vehicle created by Marc Kirsch for his final project in Industrial Design at Braunschweig University of Arts. For his Viseo concept Marc Kirsch was inspired by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava’s work. As he explains, “the target was to create a visionary concept car, shaped and based on the calatravian motto of ?dynamic balance?. I was very much inspired by his main conceptional and visual influence.”

Zero : An Eco Friendly Vehicle

To address the increasing verticality of urban centers and the zero impact mentality, Natalie Bonebrake started by raising the transport of the terrain thus removing its footprint. The vehicle hangs from a magnetic levitation track; this removes the need for the vehicle to have an on-board power source eliminating localized emissions, except for the electromagnetic radiation and dramatically lightening the vehicle. There is also an option for a drive train for tracking use.

Once in the pod, a destination is entered and the rail system powers the pod through the city along the appropriate route. This allows the users the comfort of taxi or subway but without all the waiting and expensive fairs.Alone the pod allows the users to travel effortlessly through the city, but once connected to the chassis it becomes even more dynamic! This system allows the user to enjoy the freedom of having a car without all the responsibilities of having a car!

Audi Virtuea Quattro Concept

Audi tried to combine hydrogen-powered concept with artificial intelligent, one seat only, this car has the ability to drive by itself without any help from the driver. Skinned in chrome, the Virtuea Quattro is powered by hydrogen somehow (details apparently aren’t required for this thought experiment) and has the unique ability of displaying the holographic exterior of any car throughout history, though Audi would prefer if you made it look like the R8. Special thing about this car is the “brain” that has the ability to change its own hologram body, which mean, yes … you can change the car’s body just with a single push button, hologram only of course but still … very cool concept isn’t it ?

What is Mercedes Benz Car Concept in the next 50 years ? LA Auto Show Design Challenge gave you the answers. Still remember terminator 2 ? T-1000 another Skynet robot, made of liquid metal. That is the concept that brought by Mercedes Benz Silverflow. You can change the body of your car easily. This futuristic car with a super sleek designed inspired by Merc racers of yore.

According to Mercedes Benz : “After the market was flooded with cheap carbon fiber from China in the early 2020s, Mercedes-Benz engineers went on the hunt for a new material that would be exclusive enough for automobiles crowned with the silver star.”. Is this going to be just imagination ?

Nissan Pivo 2: 360-Degree Swiveler Electric Nissan Concept

It’s the new version of Nissa Pivo concept, first shown in 2005, the electric-powered, 360-degree swiveler. Now it’s the Pivo 2. Just the same as the first Pivo, its cabin rotates, eliminating the need for a reverse gear, though its in-wheel motors can propel it in any direction — even sideways. What’s new in the Pivo 2 is its in-car Robotic Agent, a voice-recognition interface (in English or Japanese) to a valet application that can engage in a range of communications from basic vehicle functions to the closest parking space. It looks like a cartoon car, but I really like the design.

Pivo 2 builds on the popularity of the first Pivo, shown at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show. Powered by advanced Compact Lithium-ion Batteries and featuring a unique rotating cabin – meaning no reverse gear required – the first Pivo became a cult hit at shows from Beijing to Geneva.

Futuristic Aptera Electric Three Wheeler, Pre-order Now

Ok, now close your mouth, I know that this vehicle looks amazing, in fact you can pre-order them for only $500. Aptera, the company is going to produce this vehicle for real, so this is not just concept/design that only God knows when to be available. It looks way too cool, feel like riding a UFO or flying car. It seats 2.5 with plenty of room for luggage, and can supposedly hit 60 mph in about 10 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 95 mph.

This Aptera is also powered by an electric drive train but it is assisted by a fuel efficient gasoline powered generator which stretches your range significantly. In typical driving you may achieve over 300 miles per gallon and you will have range far beyond any passenger vehicle available today. The approximate cost of this option with all the features listed above will be $29,900.

Futuristic Vehicles EN-V by General Motors Can Make Urban Commuting More Efficient

General Motors have unveiled three futuristic concept vehicles under its EN-V series with a great combination of innovative and stylish outlook and various handy urban mobility features. These EN-Vs or Electric Networked Vehicles have been developed with the help of Segway, a balancing-on-two-wheels expert, with different shapes and style, the bubbly blue Jiao, blocky black Miao and streaky red Xiao, each features ultimate flexibilities of the electric drivetrain. These concepts have been designed to become a great commuting solution for the 2030 urban centers with all-electric, two-wheel drivetrain and contain latest gadgets like GPS, connectivity between vehicles and a collection of cameras and sensors, allowing fully autonomous driving. The EN-Vs are powered with lithium ion batteries that eliminate any kind of eco-harming emissions and enables the vehicles to run up to 40 miles on each recharge.

Ford Xplor Gives An Opportunity To Rethink The Shape And Functionalities Of A Traditional SUV
